How will we
do it ?

The Burn will launch as a pay-per-view streaming platform, allowing audiences to watch and support individual films, music content, podcasts and comedy performances. This model ensures creators are rewarded directly for their work. In 2027, the platform will evolve into a subscription service, creating an even more accessible way for audiences to discover Scottish creative content while supporting sustainable growth for creators.

Who can be part of it?

The Burn is built for creators. If you make films, music, podcasts, comedy or original digital content, you can be part of the platform. We are committed to providing opportunities for emerging talent, students, independent professionals and established artists who want to reach new audiences and be part of a growing creative movement.

How much will it cost?

At launch, content on The Burn will be available on a pay-per-view basis, with prices set by creators depending on what you choose to watch. From 2027, The Burn will introduce a subscription model, offering unlimited access for a monthly fee of £4.99 for viewers in Scotland and £8.99 for viewers outside Scotland, helping us grow a global audience for Scottish creativity.

Do you
distribute Films?

The Burn Ecosse will be building relationships with a network of cinemas to enable cinematic releases prior to streaming .

The Burn Ecosse will be available as a stand-alone streaming website, making it easy to access from anywhere. As audiences increasingly watch content online, the platform is designed to work seamlessly across devices — allowing viewers to discover and enjoy new creative work wherever they are.
